How To Become A Major Label Artist

This is a brief introduction of the next video that I will be posting for the BOOT CAMP training. It’s ready – it just needs to be uploaded into the system. Meanwhile, I want to give you a synopsis.

This particular video will show you how Major Labels release their records as opposed to unsigned and indie artists. It isn’t even always about money; even though that certainly helps. But it’s about wit! YouTube was not only first, but they were far better at getting everyone involved with using videos than Google was. So what happened?

Google wound up buying the little guy… and for a large amount of money. Don’t focus so much on all the money that you need in order to put together a great product and be an incredible musician, because often times the right kind of investments will almost always outweigh spending a lot of money on little things that don’t matter.

I get surprised when I see music artists who aren’t chasing the big gold at the end of the rainbow, and it is a good feeling. So many things go into making a good product, and becoming a superstar but as the years go on – the ingredients will probably always be the same; but what will change is the order in which they are mixed.

When you take a minute to be honest… you might find that, it might take 5 years to really even get “good enough” to even consider shopping yourself for a record deal. The hardest question is – are you prepared to come face to face with real honesty… the kind of honesty that means you should not even try, because it probably won’t happen. Or it could mean that with a 6 months of intensive training and work, you could actually develop a strong fan base and begin to sell records.

6 months of intensive work? That’s 180 days- day and night of preparation… if you are seriously committed to bringing your dream to life. Not many people are serious enough to even stay on that kind of rigorous schedule.
