Save Yourself…The Music Industry Is Not For Losers.
I have had THREE prominent managers interested in managing my music career and even though I declined one and went with the other two, these are all managers who have handled gold and platinum selling artists and careers. The advice they’ve given me is sheer priceless. I think I will pass on one of the gems that they’ve given me.
Because it could make the difference between you being a local or worldwide artist.
But before that let me just say this…I’ve been in contact with all kinds of producers from big-to small… and you know what? They all seem to agree and experience one thing…

Everything is not what it seems. When we take a look at the careers of some prominent artists/producers, you will notice a trend – they each have an up season and a down season; and it varies for each. Sometimes it’s planned, sometimes its not. Again, we’re not talking about rocket-science we’re just talking about human psychology and facts.
You NEED these facts to survive, to make it from round 1 to round2, and prayerfully you can get from round 2 to round 3, and so forth and so on.
The fact is that if people don’t like you, they won’t. People are getting smarter and getting faster with saying what they don’t like. Everything you go through to get in the industry, to get a song placed, a publishing deal, a platinum selling album – it all matters; but it’s irrelevant in the sense that
No matter what you do, you can not give up.
The best piece of advice I got from one of those management contracts is really simple. It’s something that I think about just about everytime I’m in the studio. I don’t need to elaborate on it, because it’s self-explainatory… and this is the kind of line that has really helped me. If I could put a monetary value on this line I’m about to tell you, I would have to say that it’s worth TWO of your lifetimes. Why?
So here it is:
“You have to be a solllllldier. You deal with the weather(good and bad), even when you don’t like it – because this is what you do and you don’t have a choice!”
