Who Is Music Industry School For & Why Is It Different than A Music School like Berklee
The good news is that I studied at Berklee. I am familiar with what you will learn there. The bad news is that Berklee is a business. They call it a school, but it’s a business – just like any other. You pay several thousands of dollars to perfect your skills as a musician, an artist, or a business-person. Those are good skills.
Music Industry School is designed for musicians and individuals who want to achieve an actual career IN the music industry. We show you how to make a career out of your music. How to grow your fan base, how to promote your music, how to survive each dip and turn that you can expect in this screwed up music industry. I called it screwed up because it is. The only way to have massive success is if you have a strategy, a plan, and specialized knowledge.
Most musicians who want to go to a music school, want to go to get better as a musician. At Music Industry School, I want you to get better at being the kind of musician that people will PAY to see perform live, pay to listen to, and pay to look at. You won’t learn that at Berklee. At Berklee, you’ll learn all of the possibilities that music can give you. But you won’t learn the latest trend of how to sell your music, and even when Berklee begins to teach these things… I won’t trust it. Because there is no way they can care enough about [what's really happening] to make enough profits from it. (yet)
That doesn’t take anything away from Berklee; I highly recommend Berklee – it’s a great school and to be completely honest, everyone at Berklee is friendly. At least they were when I was there. The people in Berklee didn’t mind giving compliments, there was no showboating, everyone just loved music, and of course there were groups and niches of friends and “haters” — but I don’t ever remember there being any belittling or making fun of other musicians. That’s something that is rare at a school; and something that definitely does not transfer to the real world.
Now let me explain why Music Industry School exists and who it is intended for.
It’s not for people who want to be overnight celebrities.
It’s not for know-it-alls.
It’s not for people who think they can be as popular as beyonce’ or Hannah Montanah by the end of the year.
It’s not for people who aren’t prepared to do REAL work.
It’s not for people who aren’t prepared to make investments in their career (physical, financial, mental).
It’s not for people who are afraid to take risks
It’s not for people who like to complain but are slow to take action to change.
It’s not for Rappers, R&B singers, Country Singers, Rock Singers, Pop Singers – it’s for anyone who is serious about making this a career.
Music Industry School is for people who are sick and tired of waiting on someone else to help them achieve success, sales, and publicity.
It’s for people who need INSTANT help without the BS. It’s for the person who is ready to print 1500 CDs at discmakers, but wants to make sure their CD is worth selling before placing the order. IT’s for the person who is about to spend $500 on studio time, but wants to make sure they have lyrics that will appeal to commercial audiences. It’s for the Country Artist who wants to know how to make their song crossover into Pop territory. It’s for the Rock Artist who wants to make their song cross over into R&B territory. It’s for the rapper who wants to sell his records in Los Angeles even though he lives in Georgia.
This school and everything therein, is for people who can accept the new reality and are ready to take actions to achieve their music success…before someone else does.
And best of all… it’s a school that’s contained in the mindset. You don’t have to come to New York to be a part of Music Industry School, you just need to be a part of our mailing list.
You’ll get a lot of FREE Music Industry courses here, and of course for aggressive advanced training – there is a fee. But you won’t pay $7,000 for tuition here.
